Terms and Conditions

Please quote the tour number or the specialized itinerary of the client, intended date for arrival and departure, number of people traveling in the party, sleeping arrangements and flight details, if known. This will ensure that our arrangements are to your satisfaction and concise.

Gorilla permits should be booked and paid for at least 2 months in advance. Children under 12 are not allowed to track chimpanzees and children under 15 are not allowed to trek the gorillas.

A down payment of 50% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid 30 days prior to commencement of the tour. Ganza Adventure upon receipt of the payment, will confirm the safari. If a reservation is made within 30 days before departure, the entire amount must be made at the time of booking.

Once a tour is booked with Ganza Adventure and a deposit is paid, this is a sign of your willingness to utilize travel arrangements and accommodation which we reserve on your behalf. Should the client cancel the holiday, then you must put it in writing, and all cancellations are subject to a certain charge based on cancellation fees levied by hotels, lodges and banks as follows:

• 20% charge on cancellations made 30-60 days prior to commencement of safari.
• 70% charge on cancellations made 15-29 days prior to commencement of safari.
• 100% charge on cancellations made 14 days prior to commencement of safari.

• Gorilla permits are non-refundable / chimpanzee permits are non-refundable.
• If the client just postpones his/her holiday to a definite future date, then he/she will not incur cancellation charges. Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits are non-refundable.
• We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from any money paid.

Ganza Adventure reserves the right and shall be entitled to cancel any tour or product sold prior to departure. Ganza Adventure shall be obligated to refund all amounts received by it and the client, who shall have no further claim of any nature whatsoever against Ganza Adventure arising out of such cancellation.

Should a client fail to join a tour or fail to use the accommodation or services booked by Ganza Adventure on their behalf, for any reason whatsoever, no refund or liability will be accepted by Ganza Adventure.

Mode of transport utilized will be dependent on the number of clients and the route taken based on the specifications of the chosen itinerary.

Fully trained and experienced English-speaking driver/guides are provided.

Based on twin bedded rooms or tents with private bathrooms where possible. Single rooms may be available with the payment of a supplement fee but not always be guaranteed. Some facilities have available double beds upon request.

Medical and repatriation insurance is compulsory for all safari bookings. It is the client's responsibility to arrange such insurance. Persons not fit for long trips due to heart disease, chronic illness, physical handicap, advanced pregnancy or mental illness are advised not to participate in rigorous travel programs. In case of trekking expeditions, clients should ensure that their insurance covers them for altitudes of up to 5109m as many insurance companies offer up to 4000m. It is strongly recommended that clients also take insurance to cover emergency travel and accommodation, lost baggage and any other cover the client may deem necessary. Other than compulsory insurance, the decision of which insurance cover he/she obtains is solely the responsibility of the client.

All baggage and personal belongings are at all times at the passenger's own risk.

All bookings are accepted on the specific condition that Ganza Adventure and its local partners act only as agents of the passengers in all matters relating to hotel/lodge accommodations, tours, transport etc. Ganza Adventure shall not be liable for injury, personal illness, loss or damage to a person or property in connection with any service resulting directly from act of God, detention, annoyance, delays, expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majeure, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, terrorism, government restrictions or regulations and discrepancies or changes in hotel services where Ganza Adventure has no control. Ganza Adventure reserves the right to employ sub-contractors to carry out all or part of the services agreed to be supplied. Ganza Adventure's liability to passengers carried in its own vehicles is governed by the respective laws of the country. Ganza Adventure cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to baggage.

Ganza Adventure provides clients with travel and or other services either itself or acting as agents or principals engaged in or associated with the travel industry, such as airlines. Ganza Adventure Ltd represents such principals as agents only and accordingly accepts no liability for any loss, damage, injury or death which any client may suffer as a result of any act or omission on the part or the failure of such principals to fulfill their obligations, whether in relation to travel arrangements, accommodation or otherwise. The contract in use by such principals (which is often constituted by the tickets issued by the principal), shall constitute the sole contract between the principal and any right of recourse the client may have will be solely against such principal.

It is recorded that the contract may contemplate tour or journey to an area(s) where the client may be exposed to danger and the client has agreed to execute a waiver of rights against Ganza Adventure Ltd, its principals and others have an integral part of these terms. The client (which shall be deemed to include the heirs, executors, administrators or assigns of the client) does hereby irrevocably waive and abandon all and whatsoever nature and howsoever arising which may be sustained directly or indirectly by the client in consequence of any act of omission or commission by Ganza Adventure Ltd or other in consequence of the conclusion of the contract and the client undertaking the tour/journey contemplated in the contract (which will comprise of these terms and the booking confirmation form). In no way derogating from the foregoing, the client hereby indemnifies, holds harmless and absolves Ganza Adventure Ltd, its principals or others, from all and whatsoever claims which may be tenable by the client as aforesaid, irrespective of the nature thereof and howsoever arising.

Ganza Adventure reserves the right to change any of the prices, services or other particulars contained in the itineraries at any time.

When it comes to game viewing, please be advised there are no guarantees. It is a privilege to see animals in their natural habitat. Take only photographs, leave only a footprint. A gorilla permit guarantees you will trek gorillas to their location but does not guarantee that the gorillas be in plain sight.

The client acknowledges that it is solely his/her responsibility to ensure that he/she is in possession of the necessary travel documents that may be required in respect of the proposed tour and itinerary as well as all health and other certificates that may be required from time to time. It is advised that all clients have a yellow fever certificate upon arrival in all African countries and they must have one to enter Uganda. Ganza Adventure will endeavor to assist the client but such assistance will be at Ganza Adventure's discretion and the client acknowledges that in doing so, Ganza Adventure is not assuming any obligation or liability and the client indemnifies Ganza Adventure against any consequences of not doing so.

The client agrees that he/she will at all times comply with the Ganza Adventure Ltd and Uganda Wildlife Authority rules and regulations or any other requirements in regards to his/her conduct and he/she will not in any way constitute a nuisance to any other passenger on the tour.

When the client is travelling with persons under his/her authority, he/she warrants that he/she is authorised to bind every member to the terms of the contract.

These terms constitute the entire terms of the relationship between the parties. There exists no other term, conditions, warranties, representations, guarantees, promises, undertaking or inducements of any nature whatsoever regulating the relationship, and the client acknowledges that he/she has not relied on any matter or thing on behalf of Ganza Adventure Ltd or otherwise that is not included herein.

Clients who have special requests must specify such requests to Ganza Adventure Ltd in writing when booking. Whilst Ganza Adventure Ltd will always endeavor to accommodate such requests, it does not guarantee that it will always be possible.

No amendment cancellation or waiver of any term or right referred to herein shall be valid or binding unless reduced to writing and signed by both the client and a duly authorised representative of Ganza Adventure Ltd.

Ganza Adventure Ltd will under no circumstances be liable for any claim whatsoever, unless such claim is due to gross negligence of Ganza Adventure Ltd and such claim is lodged in writing with Ganza Adventure Ltd within fourteen (14) days after the end of the tour. Such liability will be subject to a limitation of $1000 per client and under no circumstances will Ganza Adventure be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

Ugandan law and Jurisdiction of Uganda courts will govern the relationship between the client and Ganza Adventure Ltd.

The client will be liable for all legal fees on an attorney and own client scale in the event that Ganza Adventure Ltd has to engage a lawyer to enforce any of its rights or otherwise.

All agents should ensure that their clients or any guide employed by them fully understands the full itinerary and carries a copy for confirmation of activities.

On advancement of a deposit to Ganza Adventure, the depositor agrees to be bound by the above terms and conditions.
